Hi Gary: glad to hear you are enjoying retirement. I remember those Oklahoma days of winter and longing for that "green" look again.
Here in the Pacific Northwest, we are green all year long and I have even had to have my lawn mowed twice...already! The Olympic Peninsula is a special place in my heart with Port Townsend having views from anywhere of water, the Cascade Mtn. range and the Olympic Mtn. range. I spend as much time out of doors as possible, even in the winter months. Believe it or not we have less rain here in P.T. than anywhere in Oklahoma.
However, I will always miss the area around Tulsa and the awakening of spring and how my eyes used to "gulp" in the lovely green.
Have a great summer, with blessings for wellness for you and your family.

David, I have only been to Long Island once, believe it or not to visit a waiter Judy and I met at Patsy's in tha city. We hit it off and invited us to his home on Long Island, beautiful place! waitin tables sometimes pays off better'n ya think. I have a grand dotter at Cornell, and she has her aunt, my daughter the general manager uv tha Marriott to lean on support from family. My lady an I love Ithaca and tha fanger lake area. I wuz a bad poker player, never had enuff money to be in a big bad game, but I did have a good stick at Breezy's, spent more time there than in school. Turns out I was deslecksick, so I didn't learn like other people, but found out other people didn't learn like me, it worked out, Judy and I built a succesful business, sold it after 35 years and traveled the world for 12 years before I lost her in'17. Tha Tumbleweed description you used to describe yourself iz classic. You seemed to Tumble into a classic, fantastic life, way to go, jus sayin, Rex
